I’m happy to share that on May 15 I’ll be teaching a 4-hour workshop at Nadelwelt Karlsruhe ❤️ We’ll be sewing the classic Drunkard’s Path quilt block.

Drunkard’s Path is a very versatile traditional block. This shape allows to create a lot of variants of block and quilt designs. It’s also a perfect introduction to curved piecing. If you think sewing curves is difficult, I promise, it’s not as scary as it looks 😉

This workshop will be dedicated to walking foot quilting, the perfect way to start machine quilting with confidence.

Walking foot quilting is one of the easiest and most accessible methods, and it offers so many beautiful modern design possibilities. During the workshop, we’ll talk about how to prepare a quilt sandwich, which threads and needles work best for machine quilting, and how to mark quilting designs.

After covering the basics, we’ll practice different straight-line designs, including channel quilting, grid designs, and crosshatch quilting, all using a walking foot.
